In this video, we take a trip to Alsace and see a small village where life is quiet and gentle. Alsace is a cultural region and a territorial collectivity in eastern France, on the west bank of the upper Rhine next to Germany and Switzerland. From time to time, a steam train passes through the town, followed by short freight trains.

This beautiful model train diorama was built by Patrice Hamm. The model rail layout is called “Le Trévois” and was built in HOn30 scale, also called HOn2½, HO9 or H0e gauge in Europe. HOn30 scale is suitable for model railroading of narrow-gauge railways on N gauge tracks in 1/87 scale ratio.

The focus of this model railway layout is not so much on the narrow-gauge model trains, but rather on the unique design of the half-timbered houses and their roofs. Please note the many roof shingles that were painstakingly made by hand. Furthermore, the entire model railroad layout impresses with its magnificent natural landscape.
